Bangladesh Women showcased a dominant performance, securing a resounding 114-run victory over Malaysia Women in their recent encounter. The match, marked by powerful batting and disciplined bowling, highlighted the prowess of the Bangladeshi team.

Bangladesh set a formidable total of 191 for 2 in their 20 overs, driven by stellar performances from their top-order batters. Dilara Akter, opening the innings, played a blazing knock of 33 off 20 balls, including four boundaries and a six, at a strike rate of 165.00. Her partnership with Murshida Khatun laid a solid foundation, with Murshida scoring a magnificent 80 off 59 balls, featuring 10 fours and a strike rate of 135.59.

Captain Nigar Sultana further propelled the innings with an unbeaten 62 off 37 balls, showcasing her aggressive yet composed batting style with five boundaries and two sixes, maintaining a strike rate of 167.57. Rumana Ahmed provided a late surge, scoring 6 runs off 4 balls, ensuring Bangladesh reached an imposing total.


Malaysia Women Bowling

Malaysia's bowling attack struggled to contain the aggressive Bangladeshi batters. Elsa Hunter and Mahirah Izzati Ismail managed to pick up a wicket each, but the rest of the bowling unit couldn't make significant inroads. Mahirah's figures of 4-0-35-1 and Elsa's 4-0-27-1 were the highlights, but overall, the Malaysian bowlers found it challenging to stem the run flow.

Chasing 192, Malaysian women faced an uphill battle from the start. They managed only 77 for 8 in their 20 overs. Ainna Hamizah Hashim was dismissed for a duck, setting a tone of struggle for the Malaysian innings. Wan Julia scored 11 off 25 balls, while Elsa Hunter top-scored with 20 off 23 balls, but the required run rate kept escalating.

Captain Winifred Duraisingam (8 off 16) and Mahirah Izzati Ismail (15 off 25) tried to stabilize the innings, but disciplined bowling from Bangladesh made scoring difficult. Nur Izzatul Syafiqa remained not out with 2 runs off 7 balls.
